The International Day of the Girl Child (IDG) is celebrated annually on October 11 to promote girls' empowerment and fulfilment of their human rights while also highlighting the challenges that girls all over the world face. See https://www.un.org/en/observances/girl-child-day
The objectives of the regional campaign are borne out of the current COVID19 situation where many children are now attending virtual classes; potentially raising the need to know safety rules whilst using the digital platform.
The campaign will be focussed on advocacy as well as an internal review of GS programs in Asia Pacific.
